After the shock retirement of real life best friend, Edge the championship belt was without a champion and the perfect story was in place with Edge's final ever opponent taking on his former tag team partner for the vacant championship. But it wasn't just the story and emotion surrounding the match although the final embrace between the two friends was a great Christian best matches but the Christian best matches itself. From high spots to the numbers advantage that Alberto Del Rio had, Christian had his back to the wall and come up on top. Both men put on a fantastic bout and the chemistry between them in the ring was clear and the outcome of Christian finally becoming a World Champion was a moment that fans will never forget. Another ladder match on the list something of a speciality for Christian and this one was during Christian best matches time with ECW where he was given the opportunity to become the face of the brand and Christian best matches he could cope as a main event level single's superstar for the first time after his spell in TNA. Shelton Benjamin had been in a similar position to his opponent throughout his career, stuck in the mid-card realm and with the platform of being in ECW's main event neither man was prepared to let it slip and they didn't. Christian best matches Christian's risk taking day's clearly not behind him and Benjamin's raw athleticism combining for a stellar match. One of the most underrated matches in WrestleMania history. Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles were performing at such an unbelievably high level in that TNA was able to essentially use them as a cheat code for success. Whenever they needed to have a great match, they just rolled these two out. This particular bout was something of a coming out party for Daniels who had mostly been featured as a tag-team specialist to this point. At the end of this minute Iron Man match, he had fans everywhere split between who the best overall wrestler in the company really was, even though AJ would grab the win in this one during overtime. Awesome Kong used her size advantage to inflict her own brand of violence upon Gail Kim while Kim used every weapon at her disposal as an equalizer. By virtue of both performers being absolutely fearless, this ended up being one of the most intense hardcore matches of the modern era. There are few better examples of how to book a wrestler to look strong than the case of Samoa Joe during his first year in TNA. Not only did Joe not suffer a pinfall or submission during this time, but he absolutely destroyed every wrestler that dared to step foot in the ring with him. Though the team of LAX was often hindered by their inconsistent in-ring performances, on occasion they were capable of putting on matches that nobody could follow. There is no greater example of this than their famous showdown against the veteran team of AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. Capped off by a spectacular dive by Christopher Daniels to grab the titles, this is one of those rare matches that leaves you truly breathless. Unfortunately, the match itself would prove to be something of a disappointment, as Angle and Joe were still trying to figure each other out. I'm so glad to see this. The pair battled over the vacated World Heavyweight Championship with an added stipulation — if Taker lost he would be banished forever yeah, right. Edge eventually shoved Taker off the top of a ladder and through four stacked tables — probably the biggest a bump Taker took in his entire career — to steal the title back. Cena and Edge fought an intense battle in their star-making feud — at a time when TLC singles matches were still a rarity. They also reimagined the TLC formula as a high-impact slugfest by trading daredevil spectacle for bone-crunching bumps. Credit to Cena for taking uncharacteristic risks — including a huge fall from the ladder to the outside — while Edge smashed into ladders from all angles. Cena used a ladder to lock in the STF — a move which Edge has since claimed legitimately choked him out — and hit the FU from the top of a ladder and through two stacked tables for the win..

Both men took nasty bumps on ladders and chairs but the biggest moment came when AJ landed a springboard splash to the outside and through a table. The action was let down by a screwy ending when James Ellsworth interfered and pushed Ambrose off the top of a ladder, helping AJ get the win. One of Christian's greatest feuds came against the Viper , Randy Orton in the Summer of as the two men went to war over the World Heavyweight Championship in one of the belts final great feuds. Both men hit each other with their best shots using an array of weapons and the big fight feel was clear showing that the World Championship could still be respected and cared about when used right with the right stars. An RKO out of nowhere onto the steel steps brought an end to the match as well as Christians time in the main events, but he showed during his run that he belonged and his series with Orton was the greatest of his career. This match is not only Christian's greatest but also one of the greatest WrestleMania matches in history. Unlike the rest of the matches on this list, there are no stipulations at play here, just good technical wrestling between two of WWE's greatest technicians in history. With three extremely talented and popular stars involved the fans were hooked from the start and this match was a result of hard work and commitment from everyone involved. After a fast paced back and forth match with plenty of near falls Christian secured the win through a roll up after interactions by Trish Straus and even though it appeared to be an accident at first it was clear afterwards that the pair were always working together, which continued the feud yet it was this match that was the stand out to be remembered. From these five matches alone it is clear that Captain Charisma had an amazing career in the WWE and with a future Hall of Fame ring surely in his future, there are still further memories to be made for all the Peeps in the WWE Universe. Christian vs Jericho on Raw in You put that they wrote Jericho off, but it was actually Christian. Unfortunately I missed the majority of Christian's singles career. Could someone summarize his career Christian best matches why people feel he was so misused? The reason why he was so misused if you Christian best matches everything you read on the internet was because Vince McMahon Christian best matches like him. In he was selling more merch than Cena and was pretty damn popular.

Then he got rekt by Cena, transferred to SmackDown, and got rekt by Batista many, many times. Then he went to TNA.

Not only is this match widely agreed to be the greatest match in the history of TNA wrestling, but it is also considered by many to be quite simply the greatest triple threat match ever. However, it does tickle me that there is trivia in the fact that Christian won the belt on a DQ. It so suits that manipulative heel he plays to perfection. Christian was always a better heel than a face. He was a fun face, to be sure, but holy cow did he have talent when they put him in the role of the villain. It makes sense to remember him that way. The matches tell a story. Each match tells a story, of course, but then they come together to tell an even better story. The WWE did demonstrate faith in Christian. That's not nothing. Always liked Christian. He was underrated and underutilized, yet still managed to carve quite a career for himself. People rave about Edge, but a lot of people in my circle also never fail to mention Christian. Sad that he and Edge never got that epic retirement match, and Christian didn't even get a proper sendoff. On a happier note, he's healthy and still appears on WWE programming, which is more than can be said for most other of his peers. Imagine the build up from post-mania 27 until Summerslam if they were gonna have Christian retire Edge. I feel like it would've been very good, a great 'What if? The 2K games should do some "What if" storylines at some point in one of the games. And this should totally be one of them. IMO, Christian was a better all round performer than Edge. He was funnier, could play face and heel equally well and deserved more than just two very short world title reigns. He made everybody look good. Whether it was Zack Ryder or Ezekiel Jackson, he gave them great matches and made them look like a million bucks. There were a few more matches I wanted to include but just thought they were matches I'd like more than others. The ladder match is my favorite. Both team received a standing ovation the day after match, really cool moment. They receive a standing ovation after the match as well, but here's the link to the Raw Standing Ovation. Unforgiven was great. Plus Jericho still "fondly" remembers getting a ladder shoved halfway up his ass. Say what you will about TNA but at least they used him right. Such a disappointing drop when Christian comes back to WWE to just kind of, be there. ECW was bullshit at that point and he got a token win because Edge retired and then they took it back immediately. The fact he didn't get ANY sort of send off is such a shame. Those matches never get old. That sounds awesome. Everytime you make one of these lists it makes me wish the WWE Network had freaking playlist options. This would be so easy and I'm still annoyed it doesn't exist. Although i get that it would mean they'd have to index every match, but still. Great list. One match that I feel is highly underrated and never gets brought up much didn't here either is his match with Rhino on Impact after BFG Such a well booked match with a pretty unique ending. My favorite wrestler ever. Thanks to this guy, my favorite moment is not an iconic moment but it is him getting kicked in his balls to win World Heavyweight Championship. I still go fuckin' wild every time I watch that. I was also so pissed about that Summerslam match as well. I didn't have a problem with Orton feud in It was a great story with amazing matches. Even Orton, I believe, said that Christian is his favorite opponent. They killed it every time. But Summer of I really think they were finally going to give him the title. They had this video which really made me believe it was gonna happen. After three and a half years I'm still pissed. But still, even though he didn't have a proper reign or retired early, he still had a great career. Great matches, great storylines, many title reigns. I really miss him. I came here specifically for the ladder match versus RVD. Remember very vividly heading to school the day after that match excited to talk about that with my friends. God, what a gem. I don't recall a single match ever since with that many double features. The one spot from Christian that stands out was the crossbody into the ladder to take down both Hardys; that took a lot of guts as did most of the spots performed in that match. I thought that match was a good match for a match on TV. The match that stands out the most from me is Christian vs Randy Orton at Summerslam ' That was an awesome match. Christian took some good spots such as the RKO through the announce table which looked like it hurt Orton more than it hurt Christian ; the chairshot which put Christian through the table; and the rope-hanging DDT onto the trash can. It was also the in-ring debut of The Shield on the main roster, back when the trio was the most exciting and fiercely protected act in WWE. The stunts are still impressive though, as the teams went through their usual move sets just, erm, off ladders and through tables. No one has ever combined high spots, innovation, and storytelling like these three teams. The biggest spot of them all — Edge spearing Jeff Hardy from out of the air as he dangles above the ring — is still a top ten WrestleMania moment. The match also has interference from Lita, Rhyno, and little Spike Dudley to liven things up as if TLC needed anything extra and Edge and Christian scored yet another win. Career highlights: I'm still salty about how he lost the World title after 2 days, because I loved Christian. Glad to see so many of his great ECW matches on here. Christian is one of my all time favorites and it constantly saddened me how underutilized he was in the main event scene. Honestly don't think I've seen it. I'll go back and look for it, then might add it to the list. He won everything he could in his career, including the rival's big title. Man's a legend to me. Post Smackdown: Post Live: Live NXT: Locked in a cage with Abyss, Styles endured a beating on par with the famous one that The Undertaker gave Shawn Michaels in their Hell in a Cell encounter. Only through landing two super finishers on a bed of thumbtacks was AJ Styles able to win. Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle had been feuding for nearly a year and a half before they met in this steel cage match. Desmond Wolfe made his name on the independent circuit as Nigel McGuinness and, along with Daniel Bryan, was believed to be one of the top wrestling prospects of his time. Although injuries would derail his career, he got the chance to show off on the national stage with this match against Kurt Angle at Turning Point Built around the story of Wolfe trying to prove he could match Kurt Angle in wrestling ability, these two engaged in a back-and-forth contest that eventually forced Wolfe to turn to his brawling abilities in order to keep up. Still, this match between former partners James Storm and Chris Harris managed to surprise just about everyone with both its quality and brutality. As the follow-up to a truly awful blindfold contest, these two went out and absolutely manhandled each other with straight punches and a variety of weapons. So much blood was spilled in this contest that they had to change the ring gear following the bout but, at the end of it all, these two gave us an instant classic. Their ability to cut through the thick layer of awful decisions that TNA regularly makes to produce something simply incredible has never been made more evident than it was in this match. Despite the unfortunate love triangle involvement of Karen Angle that diluted their rivalry at the time, Styles and Angle went out there and put on a human highlight reel during this epic showdown that featured the very best these considerable performers have to offer. While the quality of the X-Division had been waning by the time this contract match came about, these four men went out there and restored that name to greatness once more. College Football. College Basketball. College Soccer. More Sports. Professional Wrestling. Christian showed he could perform at the highest level. Photo- www. Brutal, fast paced with well timed-spots very fun match. This was just a tease of what we could see with these 6 competitors. They topped it yet again. This was a match everyone was excited to see, they wanted to see how these two men would go in single runs. Much like all the other ladder matches involving these men, they are instant classics. But this is a super underrated match in both mens careers. The match is actually really good between them, they work really great with each other inside the ring, and the ending will leave you speechless. It was a way to write Christian off TV for a while because of an injured back. He would return in September and continue his feud with Jericho which finished in a Ladder match at Unforgiven In his first run I believe there was a rumour that Vince had an idea to put a blue dot over Christians face whenever he was on screen. They would have several matches in ECW in but this would be their best match together. This match is super underrated and I recommend anyone reading these lists and rewatching matches watch this match and see how good it is. It makes no sense to me why they decided to make Christian lose the ECW Championship especially if they were just going to have Jackson do nothing but have a forgettable Intercontinental Championship reign and join the CORRE and be meaningless. However, in depending on who you believe it was said that Christian and Edge would feud and that Christian would be the one to retire Edge when his contract ran out. I was somewhat fine with this, IF they were going to keep Christian a face, and probably make Orton the heel. This match was actually really good, and their whole feud is quite good. I will still argue to this day that this match was much more enjoyable then the rematch of the famous 5 star Money in the Bank match between Cena and Punk which happens on the same card. Christian Vs The Miz — Raw I would say that this is Christians last great singles match before he would retire from WWE. But due to concussions, this would be Christians last match ever. Christians in-ring career may be over, there was no big send-off like his best friend Edge, but I think we can all look back at his career and be happy it turned out the way it did. I mean people will complain he was never used to his full capacity, but I still think he had a great overall career. That At Last theme song was fucking awesome. It's a shame he stopped using it. But on the flip side, we got the equally awesome Just Close Your Eyes. Both versions of those were amazing. The famous one which everyone knows, and the one with female vocals. The female vocals is the original song. The WWE just remixed it. The band's name is Waterproof Blonde. So good, YouTube Link: For me, the Christian vs Orton series is possibly the pinnacle of both guys' careers. Both were on a roll with their characters and matches. Hopefully we see that Orton again soon. Christian really was great. With his matches vs: RVD, Benjamin, and Del Rio, among the already classic ladder matches he had earlier, he definitely is a king of the Ladder match. Shame he had to retire so uneventfully. Their matches together were usually either good-to-great, if people choose to watch any of this list I recommend watching that whole feud. This feud is which cemented Christian for me as a performer. Great matches. Great character work. They had such amazing chemistry in the ring. My only problem with the feud is that it was booked too one-sided in favor of Orton. Would have loved to see them have a longer program together. I was always a Christian fan, but those matches finally made me an Orton fan too. Randy Orton keeps it tight. His in ring chemistry with Christian let Randy show off how good he is. I wish they did even more with it, and made them true rivals. Come to think of it, in different ways Christian had great chemistry with both Orton and Cena. You would think that would make a bigger statement to the office. Fuck I wish we could have got a real Edge and Christian feud over the World heavyweight title and a real feud between Cena and Christian. But Christian is probably one of the most misused wrestlers of all time he was the complete package imo. Thanks for the kind comment, I hope you enjoy the list! Anything you're looking forward to rewatching? I don't think I was ever more pissed as a fan than when Christian lost the WHC after just winning it. I was upset at the time. In retrospect, however, I don't have such an issue with it. For a few reasons:. The history books will never carry an asterisk next to his reigns. In the annals of history, Christian is a 2-time Heavyweight Champion. So, in the long run, it doesn't matter. However, it does tickle me that there is trivia in the fact that Christian won the belt on a DQ. It so suits that manipulative heel he plays to perfection. Cena used a ladder to lock in the STF — a move which Edge has since claimed legitimately choked him out — and hit the FU from the top of a ladder and through two stacked tables for the win. Jeff Hardy proved he was still one of the pioneers of TLC, 10 years after he created the match alongside brother Matt, Edge and Christian, and the Dudleys. Best of all, Austin Aries walked away the eventual winner and began his incredible initial run at the top. By virtue of both performers being absolutely fearless, this ended up being one of the most intense hardcore matches of the modern era..

Captain Charisma won me over big time. Christian was a very solid worker. One of the few guys WWE dropped the ball with and Impact managed to fix him hope Cody follows his footsteps.

Career highlights: I'm still salty about how he lost the World title after 2 days, because I loved Christian. Glad to see so many of his great ECW Christian best matches on here. Christian is one of my all time favorites Go here it constantly saddened me how underutilized he was in the main event scene. Honestly don't think I've seen it. I'll go back and look for it, then might add it to the list.

Dasha serebro

He won everything he could in his career, including the rival's big title. Man's a legend to me.

Vandaag sex Watch Video Nude pix. The finish when Orton counters Christian's corner springboard crossbody into an RKO onto the bottom half of the steel steps is one of my favorite finishes. The crowd was really into it, chanting about how they wanted to be Jesus' friends and receive the blessing of our lord and saviour. Top notch gospel-wrestling, my entire congregation loved it! The Essential Christian sounds like one of those weird religious magazines you find folded up and tucked into your mailbox sometimes. Christian vs Jericho on Raw in You put that they wrote Jericho off, but it was actually Christian. Unfortunately I missed the majority of Christian's singles career. Could someone summarize his career and why people feel he was so misused? The reason why he was so misused if you believe everything you read on the internet was because Vince McMahon didn't like him. In he was selling more merch than Cena and was pretty damn popular. Then he got rekt by Cena, transferred to SmackDown, and got rekt by Batista many, many times. Then he went to TNA. Then since he came back he was always over. Not like face of the company level over, but the dude always got pops. I'd say so. He did very well with what little he was given. Very technically sound and an amazing seller, he could make most anyone look good in the ring. And he was pretty much always on the losing end of the ones he got. The Captain Charisma gimmick was money and they could have done so much more with it. Getting really unfortunately close to Ziggler territory, even if speaking as a Ziggler fan I think Christian's good-to-bad ratio match looks a little better than Ziggle's. I think that's a pretty fair comparison, though I personally think Christian had a higher "ceiling" than Dolph does. He's hardly the only great wrestler to end up stuck in the midcard for one reason or another. What do you mean drift? I am still a bit sour about how his career came to an end. It was never really talked about and then suddenly he is retired. Wish he could have ONE. I know it was pretty quiet and nothing came of it and it's a real shame, however he along with Edge have a great show on the network and let's hope he gets inducted into the hall of fame some time soon. Any year now hopefully! Potential for a singles entry and a tag team down the road if they wanted to stretch it a bit. It wasn't until he went over to TNA did I start appreciating him. Very quickly he became my favorite wrestler. Built around the story of Wolfe trying to prove he could match Kurt Angle in wrestling ability, these two engaged in a back-and-forth contest that eventually forced Wolfe to turn to his brawling abilities in order to keep up. At the end of this minute Iron Man match, he had fans everywhere split between who the best overall wrestler in the company really was, even though AJ would grab the win in this one during overtime. Jump directly to the content. Sign in. Whilst everyone knows that Edge and Christian totally reeked of awesomeness and had some of the greatest matches in WWE history there will be no inclusions of tag team matches on this list, it is strictly a look back at Christian's singles run, so let's begin. Kicking the list of we have one of Christian's crowning moments becoming the World Heavyweight Champion for the first ever time. After the shock retirement of real life best friend, Edge the championship belt was without a champion and the perfect story was in place with Edge's final ever opponent taking on his former tag team partner for the vacant championship. But it wasn't just the story and emotion surrounding the match although the final embrace between the two friends was a great moment but the wrestling itself. From high spots to the numbers advantage that Alberto Del Rio had, Christian had his back to the wall and come up on top. Both men put on a fantastic bout and the chemistry between them in the ring was clear and the outcome of Christian finally becoming a World Champion was a moment that fans will never forget. Another ladder match on the list something of a speciality for Christian and this one was during his time with ECW where he was given the opportunity to become the face of the brand and prove he could cope as a main event level single's superstar for the first time after his spell in TNA. Shelton Benjamin had been in a similar position to his opponent throughout his career, stuck in the mid-card realm and with the platform of being in ECW's main event neither man was prepared to let it slip and they didn't. With Christian's risk taking day's clearly not behind him and Benjamin's raw athleticism combining for a stellar match. Perhaps this should have just been a 'Christian's greatest ladder matches' list? However, the stipulation proved to be a real speciality of his and therefore some of his greatest highlights take place in those matches and the greatest of them all took place against Rob Van Dam on an episode of Monday Night Raw. With Christian in a heel phase of his career as the Intercontinental Champion, the Canadian-born star was a sneaky and sleazy champion who barely escaped with the belt when defending Think Seth Rollins' WWE World Heavyweight title run. The two men were both well experienced by this stage in their career's and were incredibly well respected by fans which saw them main event Yes, the Intercontinental Championship in the main event, you don't see that anymore Raw that week as they stole the show putting on a classic..

I was once read something that said Christian was the Steamboat to Orton's Luger. Seems pretty apt. I'm so glad to see this.
